Cancellation Policy

DietOwl does not believe in lock-ins. You can cancel your plan at any time, for any reason. This policy explains how cancellation works, what happens next, and how it interacts with our Refund Policy.


1. Cancelling Your Plan

To cancel, send us a message through any of the following channels:

  • Email support@dietowl.in with the subject 'Cancellation' and your registered phone number.
  • WhatsApp +91 80104 18033 with your registered name and phone number.
  • Ask your assigned dietitian directly during a check-in.

We will confirm your cancellation in writing within one working day. From that point, no further charges will be processed and your programme will be marked closed once any eligible refund has been issued.


2. What Happens After You Cancel

  • You will retain WhatsApp access to your dietitian until the end of the period you have paid for, unless you request immediate closure.
  • Your personalised plan, past check-in notes, and conversation history remain accessible to you via WhatsApp.
  • Any refund you are entitled to under our Refund Policy will be processed within seven to ten working days.
  • Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request full deletion of your account data at any time.

3. Pausing Instead Of Cancelling

If you need to step away temporarily, you can pause your plan for up to 60 days at no cost. Travel, surgery, pregnancy, bereavement, or simply a busy quarter at work are all valid reasons. Your remaining plan duration is preserved and resumes the day you return. To request a pause, email support@dietowl.in or message your dietitian.


4. No Auto-Renewal

DietOwl plans do not auto-renew. When your plan reaches the end of its duration, your dietitian will send you a renewal reminder around seven days before the end date. You choose whether to continue. If you do not renew, your programme simply ends on the final day; no further amount is charged.


5. Cancellation By DietOwl

In rare situations, we may need to cancel a plan from our side. This can happen if:

  • The client is unresponsive on WhatsApp and misses scheduled consultations for more than fourteen consecutive days, after repeated outreach.
  • The client violates our Terms and Conditions, including abusive conduct toward our team.
  • We are unable to safely support the client's medical or clinical needs through a nutrition programme, in which case we will refer the client to an appropriate professional.

If DietOwl cancels a plan for reasons not caused by the client, a pro-rata refund for the unused period will be issued in full, with no administrative fee deducted.


6. Relationship To The Refund Policy

Cancelling your plan does not trigger a refund. DietOwl plans are non-refundable by default.

Refunds are issued only in specific, documented situations: service failure on our side, duplicate or erroneous payment, unauthorised transactions, documented medical incompatibility, or cancellation initiated by DietOwl for reasons not caused by you. Full conditions are set out in our Refund Policy. Please read both documents together.


7. Changes To This Policy

DietOwl may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. The version in force at the time you made your payment is the one that applies to that payment. Changes affect only new purchases made after the updated effective date.
